In short: SaigonTex 2027, Vietnam’s big textile and garment industry fair, runs from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 April 2027 at SECC (799 Nguyễn Văn Linh, District 7). Here is what to expect as a fabric or garment buyer, how to pace four days on your feet, and how to recover afterwards in Thảo Điền with a float, sauna or cold plunge, plus Run To Live on Sunday 11 April if you stay the weekend.

By the second afternoon at SaigonTex, your fingertips know a hundred fabrics. You have compared shades of navy under hall lights, talked over running machines and stood far longer than you sat. The meetings were good; your feet, voice and eyes are another story. This guide is for fabric buyers, sourcing managers, factory owners and technicians: what the fair is, how to stay sharp to the last day, and where to switch off once the halls close.

SaigonTex is one of several fairs at SECC this season. For the full list, and for general tips on getting to SECC and spending your last day, see our SECC trade fair guide. For festivals, races and holidays around the same dates, see our calendar of major events in Ho Chi Minh City.

Why textile fair days are so tiring

A textile fair is a fair of the senses. You stand at booths to feel weight, stretch and finish. You lean in to check stitching and colour, often under strong hall lighting, so your eyes work hard all day. In the machinery halls, demonstrations run for hours, and you raise your voice to be heard. Meetings run in two or three languages. Then you step out into April in Saigon, which is hot before the rainy season begins, and back into cold air conditioning. Add a flight and a time difference, and four days at SaigonTex can feel like eight.

Small things help. Wear shoes you have already walked in, drink water between meetings, and rest your eyes for a minute every hour by looking at something far away. Eat lunch sitting down. Flying in from far away? Get morning daylight on the first days; our jet lag guide for Vietnam has more.

After the fair: real rest in Thảo Điền

Honestly, it is a trip: SECC is in District 7 and Ōmni Space is in Thảo Điền, on the other side of the city, about 60 minutes by Grab depending on the time of day. Leave the fair a little early on one evening (the last float starts at 20:00), or keep your float for the weekend after SaigonTex closes.

Why make the trip? After days of touching, looking and listening, a float turns all of it down at once. You lie back in about 25 cm of warm water with dense, mineral-rich Epsom salt, so you float on your own and your feet carry nothing at all. The water is about 33–34 °C, close to skin temperature, and the room is quiet and dark if you want it to be. It is private, with its own shower, and you need no swimsuit. Many guests say their legs feel light and their head goes quiet right after the session. New to it? Read what float therapy is.

Ōmni Evidence Scale: Strong evidence, for float and stress. Several trials point the same way. We rate it Strong because, on top of these trials, user experience is overwhelmingly positive: in a 2025 survey of regular floaters, 92% reported relaxation and 77% less stress, echoed by thousands of reviews, Reddit threads and forums, and by athletes and public figures who float. See how we rate evidence on the Ōmni Evidence Scale.

Heat and cold for legs that stood all week

If you prefer something more active, try our infrared sauna with red light (45–55 °C) and cold plunge (7–12 °C). Warm up, cool down, rest, and repeat once or twice; our contrast therapy guide explains the rounds and rates hot and cold for muscle soreness as Promising. A sauna or cold plunge on its own is 450,000 VND, or 200,000 VND extra when you add it to a float. Came with your sourcing team? Book the whole sauna and cold plunge room for 60 minutes for 900,000 VND, for up to 4 people. For the cold plunge, bring your own swimwear, as the counter does not lend it; the sauna and the float need none.

Staying the weekend? Run To Live is on Sunday

The day after SaigonTex closes, Sunday 11 April 2027, the city hosts Run To Live, a running event with 21 km, 10 km and 5 km distances, according to its official website. The 2027 venue has not been announced yet. If you pack running shoes, a 5 km or 10 km is a fine way to shake out four days of standing, and an afternoon float makes a calm end to the trip. Our Run To Live 2027 recovery guide has the details, and float therapy for runners explains how floating fits into recovery.

Curious to see Saigon’s fabric trade at street level? In Chợ Lớn, District 5, Soái Kình Lâm is one of the city’s oldest wholesale fabric markets, with hundreds of stalls, according to VietNamNet. Check current opening hours before you go.

When you come to Ōmni Space

Ōmni Space is at 16C Quốc Hương, Thảo Điền, open 9:00–21:00 every day, with the last float starting at 20:00. A float is 1,500,000 VND for 60 minutes or 2,000,000 VND for 90 minutes; going as two in the Couple Room is the single price plus 700,000 VND. Online booking is paid by bank transfer, and international cards are accepted at the counter. Flying out late? Ōmni keeps up to 4 suitcases while you float; see our last-day guide for late-night flights. The team behind Ōmni opened Vietnam’s first float centre, Float Vietnam, in 2017, and guests rate Ōmni 4.8 ★ across 72 Google reviews (25 October 2026). Fair weekends fill fast, so book ahead.
