Ōmni Space is a float therapy (Floatation-REST) centre at 16C Quoc Huong, Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City. It grew out of Float Vietnam, which opened the country’s first float centre in Hanoi in 2017 and gave the practice its Vietnamese name, Thiền Nổi. Each guest floats alone, or with a partner in the couple room, in a private, dark and soundproofed room. The water holds 500 kg of Epsom salt, so the body floats without effort. The centre also offers an infrared sauna, a cold plunge and a light-and-sound relaxation session. Sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes, from 1,500,000 VND. Founder: Duc Nguyen Trung.
How it started
Ōmni Space began as a personal search. Its founders had a long list of ways to quiet the mind, and floating was at the top. In Vietnam at the time, there was nowhere to try it: the choice was to build a float tank yourself or fly abroad to try one. They did both.
In 2017 Float Vietnam opened in Hanoi, the first float therapy centre in the country, and gave the practice its Vietnamese name, Thiền Nổi (floating meditation). Float Vietnam later moved its work to Saigon. Ōmni Space in Thao Dien is the result: a place built entirely around deep rest, for a city that rarely switches off.
The founder
Duc Nguyen Trung is the founder of Float Vietnam and Ōmni Space. Before floating, he worked as an investment analyst, a startup fund manager and a business owner. He studied at Northumbria University (UK), is an Antler alumnus and has practised meditation for many years. He is available for interviews in English and Vietnamese. Read his note on our About page.
