The short version: this year, instead of one more thing, give someone you love an hour of stillness. An Ōmni Space float therapy gift card starts at 1,500,000 VND, is valid for 12 months, and can arrive by email or Zalo on Christmas morning, or as a beautiful physical gift card, delivered by Grab for free within Ho Chi Minh City.

Every year there are a few people on the list who are impossible to buy for. They have the jumpers, the candles, the nice mugs. But look a little closer and what they’re really short of can’t be wrapped: an afternoon when nobody needs them, no deadline is waiting and nothing has to be done.

A float is exactly that kind of gift. For 60 to 120 minutes, in a private room that is dark and quiet, the time is entirely theirs. Many guests tell us they walk out feeling lighter than they have in a long time.

What is float therapy, exactly?

Float therapy (also called Floatation-REST or sensory deprivation) means lying back in skin-temperature water with 500 kg of Epsom salt dissolved in it. The water is so dense that the body floats on its own: no swimming, no effort, and no way to sink. The room is fully light-proof and almost completely silent. With gravity, light and sound taken away, the nervous system finally gets a chance to slow down.

Here’s what the person you give it to will experience:

  1. They arrive about 10 minutes early for a short introduction and video.
  2. They have a private room with its own float pool and shower. Fresh towels, toiletries and earplugs are ready. Swimsuit or nothing at all, whatever feels comfortable.
  3. They lie back and float. The lights start soft, like dusk, and can go fully dark. Then, for 60 to 120 minutes, there is nothing to do and nowhere to be.
  4. Afterwards they shower and take a few quiet minutes in the lounge before heading back into the city.

Why it’s a gift worth giving

  • It’s the rest they wouldn’t buy for themselves. Most of us feel a little guilty spending money on doing nothing. A gift gives them permission.
  • It’s truly switched off. Unlike a massage or a spa day, there’s no one talking, no music and no phone: just darkness, silence and weightlessness. Very few places in Saigon offer that.
  • The research is encouraging. In a 2018 study in PLOS ONE, a single one-hour float substantially reduced anxiety in 50 people with stress- and anxiety-related conditions. A 2014 study of 12 floats over seven weeks found less stress and better sleep. We describe floating as rest, not treatment, but it’s rest with good science behind it.
  • It’s new and memorable. Most people have never floated, so it becomes a story they’ll tell. Studies also show that experiences make people happier for longer than things, and bring giver and receiver closer (Van Boven and Gilovich, 2003; Chan and Mogilner, 2017).
  • It suits almost anyone. It’s private, no swimming skills are needed, and it can be enjoyed alone or as a couple.
  • There’s no rush. Gift cards are valid for 12 months, so they can choose the moment they need it most.

A gift for everyone you love

For family and loved ones

  • For your partner: two people, one pool, a shared silence. A 3,000,000 VND card covers a 90-minute float in the Couple Room, side by side, no words needed. Read Couple Float: a prelude to harmony.
  • For family flying in for the holidays: after a long-haul flight, a quiet float is a gentle way to welcome them to Saigon.
  • For your parents, or theirs: the people who looked after you, looked after for once. A 60- or 90-minute float. If they have a health condition, share our first-float guide with them first.
  • For a friend who is expecting: being fully supported by the water can feel wonderful during pregnancy. Ask them to check with their doctor first, and to let us know when they book.

For friends

  • For the friend who never stops, or never sleeps well: a gentle reminder that they’re allowed to rest. A 90-minute float (2,000,000 VND), with an infrared sauna for +200,000 VND. Share our 4-week plan for better sleep too, if it helps.
  • For the runner, cyclist or gym regular: legs that ran all year deserve a break. A float with a cold plunge (2,200,000 VND) is a much-loved recovery pair.
  • For the meditator, yogi or biohacker: many people reach a deep, meditative state in their very first float, with no training. Add Brainwaves Neuro Align (+200,000 VND) for a light-and-sound session.
  • For expat friends far from home this Christmas: a warm, quiet hour that feels like being looked after.
  • For Korean and Japanese friends: in Korea and Japan, Christmas is a time for couples too. Our website is also in Korean and Japanese, so it’s easy to share.

For work

  • For your team and clients: a thank-you for a year of working together. Shareable packages bring a 90-minute float to 1,500,000–1,800,000 VND. See corporate wellness packages.

And for you

After weeks of looking after everyone else, you deserve it too. The Introduction Package gives you three 90-minute floats for 3,000,000 VND, half the regular price.

A few words for the card

Sometimes the hardest part is knowing what to write. Borrow one of these, or make it your own:

Thank you for being there all year. This Christmas, an afternoon that’s only for you.

To the busiest person I know: phone off, and just float.

Mum and Dad, thank you for everything this year. I hope you find many quiet, easy hours.

Thank you, team, for an amazing year. Now it’s time to really rest.

How to send it

  1. Choose an amount: 1.5, 2, 3, 5 or 10 million VND, or any amount from 1,000,000 VND.
  2. Pick a design and write a few words from the heart, with your name.
  3. Choose how it arrives: by email or Zalo on Christmas morning, so it’s opened with the first coffee of the day. Or choose a physical gift card: we deliver it by Grab for free within Ho Chi Minh City, or you can pick it up at 16C Quoc Huong, Thao Dien.

Leaving it late? Don’t worry

An emailed gift card can go out the same day, so even on Christmas Eve there’s still time. Would you rather hand over something real? Call or message us on Zalo at +84 326 896 369 and we’ll send a physical gift card to your door by Grab, free of charge within Ho Chi Minh City. Or pick one up at 16C Quoc Huong, Thao Dien.
