In short: Ho Chi Minh City’s 2027 furniture fair season packs two big shows into one week: VIFA EXPO (26 February – 1 March 2027, at WTC EXPO in Bình Dương ward and SKY EXPO, not at SECC) and HawaExpo (3–6 March 2027, at SECC in District 7). Here are the confirmed dates with official links, a sample 7-day plan for international buyers, and how to use the one free day in between to really rest in Thảo Điền.

You flew in for the furniture. By Saturday night you have sat in two hundred chairs, run your hand along a thousand table edges and ridden out to the fairgrounds and back twice. Your feet are sore, your body clock still lives somewhere over the ocean, and on Wednesday the second fair begins. This guide is for buyers doing both shows: when and where each runs, what that week asks of you, and how to arrive at HawaExpo with a clear head.

Both organisers list their 2027 dates on their official websites, checked on 4 November 2026. Dates and halls can change, so please check again with the organisers closer to your trip.

VIFA EXPO lists more than 2,800 booths across its two venues. HawaExpo, the export furniture fair, lists 500 exhibitors and 2,700 booths and showcases, and runs a VIP buyer programme, seminars, B2B networking and factory visits; details are on its website. A few third-party listings show other dates for VIFA EXPO 2027, so go by the organiser’s own site. For every other fair at SECC this season, see our SECC trade fair guide, and for races, festivals and holidays in the same months, our calendar of major events in Ho Chi Minh City.

Two fairs, two ends of the city

These shows are not next door to each other. VIFA EXPO is out in the north, at WTC EXPO in Bình Dương ward and SKY EXPO in Trung Mỹ Tây ward, a long ride from the city centre. HawaExpo is at SECC in District 7, in the south. Add factory visits, and your week becomes long car rides, early starts and days spent half in showrooms, half in traffic. That is why we suggest one real rest stop in Thảo Điền, the leafy riverside neighbourhood where Ōmni Space is, rather than another evening in the hotel bar.

What a furniture buyer’s week asks of your body

Furniture sourcing looks gentle from the outside. In reality you test pieces all day: you sit, stand, crouch to check joints and finishes, lift drawers, step back to judge proportions, and make dozens of small decisions an hour. The halls are cold with air conditioning; outside, Saigon is warm and dry at this time of year. Evenings often mean dinner with suppliers. Add a long-haul flight and a large time difference, and by the end of VIFA many buyers feel it in their lower back, their legs and their judgement.

Wear shoes you have already walked in, drink water, not only coffee at the booths, and eat lunch sitting down. Get morning daylight on the first days; our jet lag guide for Vietnam explains why. And protect the one gap day between the fairs: Tuesday 2 March.

Your rest day in Thảo Điền

On the gap day, give your body a full break from deciding, standing and sitting upright. You lie back in about 25 cm of warm water with dense, mineral-rich Epsom salt, so you float on your own and your back and legs carry nothing at all. The water is about 33–34 °C, close to skin temperature. The room is private, with its own shower, and you need no swimsuit. Many guests say their legs feel light and their head goes quiet right after the session: exactly what you want before four more days of choosing. New to it? Read what float therapy is.

Ōmni Evidence Scale: Strong evidence, for float and stress. Several trials point the same way. We rate it Strong because, on top of these trials, user experience is overwhelmingly positive: in a 2025 survey of regular floaters, 92% reported relaxation and 77% less stress, echoed by thousands of reviews, Reddit threads and forums, and by athletes and public figures who float. See how we rate evidence on the Ōmni Evidence Scale.

Heat and cold after a week of showroom floors

Prefer something more active? Try our infrared sauna with red light (45–55 °C) and cold plunge (7–12 °C): warm up, cool down, rest, and repeat once or twice. Our contrast therapy guide explains the rounds and rates hot and cold for muscle soreness as Promising. A sauna or cold plunge on its own is 450,000 VND, or 200,000 VND extra when you add it to a float.

Sourcing as a team? Book the whole sauna and cold plunge room for 60 minutes for 900,000 VND, for up to 4 people. For the cold plunge, bring your own swimwear, as the counter does not lend it; the sauna and the float need none.

Evenings during HawaExpo week

From SECC, Thảo Điền is on the other side of the city: about 60 minutes by Grab, depending on the time of day. So leave the fair around 17:00 for an evening float (the last one starts at 20:00), or keep it for your last day. Our SECC guide covers getting around and dinner, and Ōmni keeps up to 4 suitcases while you float before a late flight; see the last-day guide for late-night flights. Also in town in April for textiles? See our SaigonTex 2027 visitor guide.

After a float, Thảo Điền’s small restaurants and riverside streets are an easy walk; our guide to things to do in Thảo Điền has ideas for a slow evening.

When you come to Ōmni Space

Ōmni Space is at 16C Quốc Hương, Thảo Điền, open 9:00–21:00 every day, with the last float starting at 20:00. A float is 1,500,000 VND for 60 minutes or 2,000,000 VND for 90 minutes; going as two in the Couple Room is the single price plus 700,000 VND. Online booking is paid by bank transfer, and international cards are accepted at the counter. The team behind Ōmni opened Vietnam’s first float centre, Float Vietnam, in 2017, and guests rate Ōmni 4.9 ★ across 73 Google reviews (7 November 2026). Fair weeks fill the afternoon and evening slots fast, so book your gap day early.
